It was 2015. I graduated college two years earlier with a marketing degrer and had a 9-to-5 at a company that serviced the energy industry in the the city of Toluca. Needless to say, most of my paychecks were spent going out to eat on weekends in Mexico City.I would check out the mainstream outlets of that time for ideas on where to go next; and while some of their reviews held true, more often than not, I’d leave in disagreement. So I opened Food Police on a Wordpress with the sole purpose of sharing my personal experiences with these places.By some twist of fate, I majored in marketing, but since I was young my true callings have always been: not holding back and writing, so through Food Police I found an outlet to creatively express both. A year later, I quit my job and spent my time traveling and writing about it. Since then, I haven’t worked in something that didn't involve food.
I'm convinced that there is an audience eager for high-quality food content.A smart, bright audience that, notwithstanding what’s trending today, yearns to be heard, taken seriously and respected with well-told stories, whether they are spectators or actively part of these narratives. Food Police exists for them.
Food Police has almost a decade of history behind its back. And has been featured in several media outlets. Here are some of our faves:
