Old Money Restaurants in Mexico City / Morton's Steakhouse, prime dry-aged meat cuts, and top-notch wine.
The story of Arnie Morton is closely linked to the history of the Playboy empire.

In 1960, as Playboy began to expand as a symbol of the phallocentric entertainment of the sixties, Morton was Hugh Hefner's right-hand man. Their relationship had started years earlier at Arnie's first restaurant, who was also the Executive Vice President of Playboy Enterprises.
Honoring its history, Morton’s landed in 2009 to be located in the Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood, a colony where the architecture of the mansions of Mexico City's upper class meets the offices of multinationals in the buildings that today face Las Palmas Avenue or the Peripheral.
Here, diners will find imported meat cuts, fish, seafood, and of course, art deco. As a restaurant geared towards the business visitor, there are also private rooms, and both the service and the well-stocked cellar are what one would expect from a place with prices in this segment. Every day of the week, Morton's reserves special culinary surprises for its patrons. On Mondays, for example, you can enjoy the exclusive Bone-In Manhattan Steak, a cut that captures the essence of the steakhouse tradition. From the preparation of the dishes to the attentive and personalized service, every peso spent at Morton's is fully justified.
Visit Morton’s Steakhouse to indulge in an exceptional meat cut where you can also try some aged ones. If you liked this option, our note on The Palm will delight you.
